Knowledge is power
Information = data with meaning. Knowledge is created through context-related learning. To create knowledge, a good knowledge sharing system alone isn’t enough. It requires creating a strong culture within an organization to keep knowledge on the move. As a management discipline, honesty is needed to build the necessary trust, which in turn promotes openness. Knowledge will be shared if the provider believes that they will benefit from it. Reciprocity and reputation is an important knowledge source to promote knowledge sharing, but confidence is a requirement. The Service helps to:
- increase openness as a result of rewarding interaction by a high score ranking
- create shared vocabulary and understanding via common strategy frameworks
- organize more time for online business dialogues via online meetings
- rank and reward valuable knowledge sharing by a high score ranking
- reach knowledgeable receivers with no time or location dependency via online meetings
- encourage cooperation through a non-hierarchical knowledge approach
- convert valuable tacit knowledge into company-owned specific knowledge by online articulation
- create strategic business knowledge by continuous online dialogue
- The Service promotes an open organizational culture and motivates employees to take part in a company’s Living Strategy, and be involved in the strategy creation and implementation loop.
